The Work

I specialise in organisation and leadership development, individual and team coaching,

I have spent the past fifteen years working in one of the world’s largest global financial services firms, latterly as EMEA head of organisational development and coaching.

I have experience coachng individuals and teams at board level, as well as significant experience in organisation development, design and reengineering.

I am known for creating a safe space for my clients, enabling them to consider work, organisational and personal challenges that are of concern, and to discuss and plan strategies for managing them.

My work is conversation based, understanding that language is fundamental in creating our reality, not just in describing it. It is rooted in positive psychology, recognising that people’s areas of greatest potential are in the areas of their greatest strengths, and that we succeed by fixing our weaknesses only when we are also making the most of our strengths.

My work is grounded in Adult Developmental theory and looks to always pay attention to both the vertical and horizontal development of the people and organisations I work with.

Horizontal development is concerned with becoming more skilful, making fewer mistakes, taking care of what we need to with more competence, it's where most development work in organisations is focused. As well as attending to this necessary work with my clients, I also encourage them to pay attention to their vertical development, by getting curious about the stories they hold about the world and the people in it, including themselves.

By looking at the stories we hold to be true and the behaviours that flow from those stories, we find that we can become more present, mindfully responsive rather than immediately reactive, can develop deeper connections to ourselves and others, have more courage and be less constrained by our current views, preferences and habits.

Working this way equips both leaders and organisations to deal with an increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world, allowing them to see beyond the noise and look at the world from multiple perspectives.
